What Is CHACCARD?
CHACCARD is a card-sized multi-tool made by TENKEN KOGYO, a long-established blade manufacturer based in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture — Japan’s most renowned knife-making region.
At the size of a credit card (W55.7 × H91 × D8.7mm), it packs 5 functions: saw, plane, fire starter, hemp cord cutter, and bottle opener (standard version). The premium CHACCARD Indigo Metal replaces the bottle opener with a flat-head screwdriver, and features a traditional Japanese indigo-dye finish sourced from Tokushima Prefecture.
The blade craft comes from Seki City’s master artisans — known for 0.1mm-precision hand finishing. The saw is engineered by Nakaya in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata, Japan’s leading metalwork hub. Two of Japan’s greatest manufacturing traditions, in one card.
It funded at 1,020% of its crowdfunding goal. There’s a reason people call it “a tool worth talking about.”
